Big contracts, NFL playoff spots don't always go hand-in-hand for top quarterbacks

There are mixed results for quarterbacks in their next season after receiving a huge payday. Quarterbacks like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Michael Vick, Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers are all playing under massive contracts. Some are on their second or third huge paydays. Only Roethlisberger came back the next season to win a Super Bowl in the 2008 season.
